ELEPHANT GORGE CAMP
OVERVIEW
This is a luxury five day tour of Amboseli National Park, a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, where wildlife and the local Maasai Community cohabit. The park is known for its majestic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, and its unique habitats, from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli to the sulphur spring-studded wetlands. It is one of the best places on the continent to view herds of large-tusked elephants with a population of almost 1800 elephants. Predators including lions, leopards and cheetahs hunt a range of herbivores within the park. The name Amboseli comes from a Maasai word meaning "Salty Dust".
Accommodation is at Elephant Gorge Camp, located unfenced within the ALOCA conservancy area in Amboseli, surrounded by the local savannah bushes. The camp comprises five distinctly themed luxury residences. Each residence features a spacious bedroom, bathroom with hot solar heated water, dressing facilities and carefully designed all round views of the indigenous scenery. The residences are not fenced, allowing guests to feel the thrills of intimate wildlife encounters, yet being fully confident in the presence of 24 hours personalized security.
Transport to and within the national park is by road, in private safari landcruiser 4x4 vehicles, with pop-up roofs for panoramic 360° game viewing. The vehicles are driven by professional driver-guides, with comprehensive knowledge of the park and the wildlife within.
This tour is customisable. The number of days can be increased or decreased as per request. Travel to and from the game reserve, can be changed to air travel instead of by road.

ITINERARY
ARRIVAL:
- You'll be picked up from the airport.
- Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
DAY 01: NAIROBI TO AMBOSELI
- We depart early in the morning for the Amboseli.
- Check in at Elephant Gorge Camp in time for lunch.
- Spend a relaxing afternoon at the camp, or have an afternoon game drive.
- Enjoy a full-course dinner, and spend your first night in your luxury cottage.
DAYS 02 - 04: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
- Arise for an early morning breakfast in preparation for the day.
- Proceed to a morning game drive, with plenty of time to spot wildlife before they seek cover to cool off from the mid-day sun.
- Return to camp in time for a sumptuous lunch.
- Relax and enjoy the facilities.
- Go for an afternoon/evening game drive (Optional).
- Enjoy a full-course dinner and relax with exquisite views of the wild at night.

DAY 05: AMBOSELI TO NAIROBI
- Wake up at 6 am for a sunrise game drive.
- Return to camp for breakfast and prepare for checkout.
- Depart for Nairobi.
- Have lunch at a selected restaurant in the capital.
DEPARTURE:
- Additional accommodation at the end of this tour can be arranged for an extra cost.
- You'll be dropped off at the airport.
